A Celebration of Talent, Identity, and Future Vision

Art, for me, has never been just about color or composition. It is about identity. It is about telling the world who we are — without compromising our culture, our heritage, or our roots.

The MMCY Project is one of the most meaningful works I have created so far. It is not simply a mural. It is a visual story about talent, collective strength, cultural pride, and future ambition.

The Question That Started It All:
How Do You Paint Talent?

When I first began conceptualizing the mural, one question guided me:

1. How do you visually represent talent?

Talent is not something you can hold. It is not a single object. It is dynamic, invisible, and deeply personal.

Then came the second, more complex challenge:

2. How do you represent many different talents in one unified artwork?

MMCY is built on diversity — diverse skills, diverse minds, diverse perspectives. I didn’t want to represent just one ability. I wanted to portray the spirit of collective talent — individuals contributing unique strengths while moving toward a shared vision.

Rooted in Culture: The Shepherd Boy as Symbol

The breakthrough came through culture.

At the heart of the mural stands a rural Ethiopian shepherd boy — a powerful symbol of origin and authenticity. He plays the traditional flute, known as the washint. From the breath of that flute, the word “Talent” flows outward like wind.

This image carries deep meaning.

Talent is not forced. It flows naturally from within — just like breath transforming into melody. The shepherd represents our roots. The flute represents expression. The music represents potential being released.

In this way, the mural communicates that every member of MMCY continuously brings out their talent — organically, confidently, and authentically.

Afro-Futurism: Bridging Heritage and Tomorrow

My artistic direction is deeply influenced by Afro-Futurism — a style that merges African identity with futuristic imagination.

I asked myself:

What would this shepherd boy look like in the future?

In the mural, he evolves into a futuristic figure — still grounded in culture, yet technologically advanced. This transformation symbolizes MMCY’s journey: honoring its origins while confidently stepping into the future.

The artwork speaks of continuity. MMCY existed. It exists today. And it will continue to evolve and expand.

Collaboration, Innovation, and Global Reach

In the second layer of the mural, a team works together around advanced futuristic computers. This part of the composition represents:

Teamwork
Communication
Shared understanding
Continuous learning

Technology in the mural symbolizes innovation and global relevance. MMCY is not limited by geography, it operates with an international vision.

Architectural silhouettes in the background reference global cities such as Addis Ababa, Dubai, and New York, reinforcing MMCY’s worldwide ambition and presence.

The Client at the Center

Another key narrative within the mural is the client experience.

A figure interacting with MMCY’s technology represents those who choose to collaborate with MMCY. As they engage, the artwork visually communicates the organization’s talents and capabilities.

This element emphasizes an important message:
MMCY does not simply possess talent, it presents that talent clearly, confidently, and professionally to those seeking excellence.

Color as Brand Language

Every color in the mural is intentional and aligned with MMCY’s brand identity:

Orange symbolizes energy, creativity, and visibility.
Dark Blue represents trust, depth, and professionalism.

The palette reinforces brand presence while strengthening visual consistency. Nothing is accidental. Every tone contributes to the larger story.

More Than a Mural

The MMCY Project is not just art on a wall.

It is a narrative about culture, talent, teamwork, innovation, global ambition, and identity. Through Afro-Futurism, I tell a story of where we come from and where we are going. Through symbolism, I show how talent flows. Through composition, I unify individuality into one powerful vision.

This mural stands as a statement of identity, evolution, and excellence.

And most importantly, it reminds us that our future becomes stronger when it is built on the foundation of who we truly are.
